After the storm, get the truth before you file
When severe weather strikes, our rapid-response team provides thorough damage assessments, comprehensive insurance claim assistance, and expert restoration services. We guide you through every step, from initial inspection to final installation.
This is hail country, and the record proves it
San Antonio logged a record 23 hail days in 2025. The benchmark is still April 12, 2016, when a storm dropped 4.5-inch stones near Helotes and did $1.4 billion in damage, the costliest hailstorm in Texas history. Fall isn't safe either: an EF-1 tornado crossed Comal County near Kendalia in October 2025. Hail here is a when, and the roofs that come through best belong to owners who get eyes on them before and after the season.
The first 48 hours after the storm
What you do in the first two days shapes the whole claim. In order:
Stay off the roof. From the ground, look for missing shingles, debris, and dented gutters or window screens at eye level.
Check ceilings and the attic for stains, damp insulation, or drips, and photograph anything you find.
Call a roofer before your insurance company. A documented inspection tells you whether the damage clears your deductible before a claim goes on your record.
If there's an active leak or exposed decking, call our 24/7 line for emergency roof leak repair. We tarp and stabilize before water spreads into drywall and insulation.
If the damage justifies a claim, file with our photo report in hand and have us on site when the adjuster comes.
The deductible red flag worth knowing
One thing is worth knowing before you sign anything after a storm: anyone offering to waive, eat, or rebate your deductible is proposing a crime. Texas Insurance Code Section 27.02 makes it a Class B misdemeanor, and insurers can demand proof you paid it. A legitimate contractor collects the deductible because the law requires it. We're based in Bulverde and here year-round, so you always know where to find us long after the work is done.
Active leak or fresh hail? Don't wait on a form.
Call the 24/7 storm lineShould I call my insurance company or a roofer first after a storm?
Call a roofer first. A documented inspection before you file tells you whether the damage even exceeds your deductible; a claim that pays nothing can still sit on your claims history and affect future premiums. If the damage is real, filing with a Haag-certified photo report in hand makes the claim stronger and the adjuster visit smoother.

Towns we do this in
The 2016 hail core tracked over Helotes and the far northwest side. The 2025 storms hammered the far west side along Loop 1604 and Potranco. If your town is on this list, you've been in a swath.
